报告人简介:
He worked at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden from 1999 till 2008, 
holding various positions: post-doc in 1999; assistant professor during 
2000-2003; associate professor during 2003-2008. He is also presently an adjunct 
professor at Chalmers. Since 2008, Dr. Liu has been working at CCFE, as a Senior 
Fusion Theorist.
Dr. Liu has so far authored/co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed journal 
papers, 32 invited talks at international conferences and other 150 conference 
contributions. His Hirsch index was 23 in October 2012, according to the Web of 
Science.

Dr. Liu is currently working on theory and modelling of macroscopic 
instabilities in fusion plasmas. In particular, he has been working on magnetic 
feedback and kinetic stabilisation of the so-called resistive wall modes, that 
can pose severe limitation on the advanced fusion plasma scenarios, such as 
those foreseen for ITER.
